The Ropa Valley golf club is a ten minute drive from Corfu town, nearby beaches and villages for shops and tavernas include Ermones, Glyfada and Palaiokastritsa. The nearby beach of Myrtiotissa, in front of a small 14th century monastery, was reffered to by Laurence Durell as perhaps the loveliest beach in the world.
